I'd paint them gray. I just did, actually! Well, only one room. And shoes, a nice pair of flip flops you can walk miles in. If it were winter forever, I'd choose some tennis shoes.

I will go with the shoe question and maybe I will answer the other too if I can think about it. I like Saucony shoes so I would have some really comfortable pair of those but they do wear out kind of fast so I would end up bare foot.
