From PostSecret this week:

I think it says "It's only a matter of time..." (it's partially obscured by a sticker from the post office)

And it scares me very, very much because I think there are a lot of people out there thinking that of him (and not in a good way).

I was talking to Mr. H about this postcard today! A lot of people inmy neighborhood have McCain/Palin signs in their front ysrds. It's disturbing and they seem to be multiplying. I have never been much of a "sign person" but I would put up an Obama sign in my yard just to represent. My MIL flipped over my idea (and not in a good way). She was very adament about me not getting a sign or bumper sticker because she fears our home will get egged or our property damaged/car keyed.

I started to think about it and I think she's right.

That is so incredibly sad. Don't get me wrong, I am still voting for him and so are my in-laws but I don't want to be targeted by crazy rascist people. Can you imagine how he feels?

I am praying for him.

I do think about how he feels. And it just saddens me. I mean--think about how this happened to Ghandi. Or, more recently, Benazir Bhutto--that was just last December!

What gets me the most, though, is that he'd be leaving behind his amazing wife and his two beautiful, much-loved young daughters. What kind of message of the world would that send them?

I try really hard to believe that there is more good than bad in this world.

But usually? I don't convince myself.

I've been worried about this myself. There's a little part of me that believes it is bound to happen. Let me be wrong, please.
